Review

It's a sweet, romantic, and intriguing story with a little bit of tragedy involved. I loved that even with such a deep storyline it is written in a very light-hearted and relaxing way. I quite enjoyed reading it. It's a story about two young people who meet by chance not realizing that their families are forever connected by heartbreak. As the mystery unfolds many things become clearer to both Jesse and Nastassia. Most importantly they realize that the past should never hold them back. It's a story about family, love, traditions, and letting go of all the things that weigh you down. While at the same time keeping dear the things that matter most.

Nastassia is visiting her father's family farm. Unfortunately, it needs to be sold but her grandmother is not ready to let go of the home she has lived in for many years. However, it is no longer up to her because keeping the farm will simply not be an option anymore. Nastassia has mixed feelings about the place. She doesn't live there but feels a deep connection to the place where her father grew up. It has been in their family for a long time and she wonders if her grandmother is right and maybe they really need to keep it in the family.

Jesse is in town fighting his own demons. He is staying away from his family and trying his best to figure things out for himself. When he meets a sweet girl like Nastassia, he can't help but fall in love with her. But is it the right time for them to be together or are they bound to face heartbreak if they started a relationship? One thing is for sure they do need to figure everything out when the time is right.

I think it is a very well written story. It has the right amount of mystery and haunting pasts to keep readers interested from the very beginning until the end. I'd definitely recommend this short holiday novel to my fellow readers.
P.S. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
